Ad Astra Arkestra review on Demecha
These guys are really a music-junky’s dream because they combine every oddity you could possibly imagine into one expansive work of art. If you like Django Reinhardt, you might like these guys; if you’re into Sun Ra or Sonic Youth you might dig these guys; hell, if you’ve listened to any sort of world and or post-punk music in the last twenty years you’ll probably find something to like here. In a just universe, Ad Astra Arkestra would provide the soundtrack for the post-colonial, post-cultural, post-modern experience; genres may have failed, but ingenuity and the heterogeneous persist.
